WHY NAIJA? Lagosians Scoop Kerosene From Fallen Tanker



Nigerians at it again. A tanker carrying kerosene fell on the road by Fagbem filling station, Mile 2, towards Oshodi Lagos, and people living around the vicinity start scooping kerosene from the fallen tanker.
Last Month:
At least 95 people who went to scoop up oil from an overturned oil tanker were killed after the vehicle caught fire, a road safety official in southern Nigeria’s Rivers state told AFP.
“Ninety-three were burned to death on the spot. Two died later in the hospital (and) 18 people were seriously injured,” said Kayode Olagunju, sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in the state.
